Plankton net for sea lice and pearl jellyfish
A solid and precise plankton net specially selected for collecting pearl jellyfish. Robust construction in stainless steel and aluminum makes it well suited for use in marine environments.
Put in offer/orderThe plankton net from Akvapartner is primarily developed for collecting the pearl jellyfish (Polycera quadrilineata), but can also be used to collect other small organisms and plankton from seawater.
The frame is made of stainless steel (AISI 304), and the shaft is made of anodized aluminum, which provides low weight and high corrosion resistance. The cloth has a mesh size of 176 µm and a depth of 50 cm, which provides good water flow and effective capture of small organisms without damaging the sample material.
The dimensions of the frame are 40 × 35 cm, and the net is supplied with a 2 m shaft as standard. As an option, it can be combined with a disinfection tank that is hung on the rack, so that the net can be easily rinsed and disinfected between samples.
A robust and user-friendly tool for biological sampling and monitoring in aquaculture facilities.
